In his defense yesterday of his economic efforts, Barack Obama cast Democrats as fighters for the middle class while attempting to portray Republicans as protectors of millionaires, billionaires and special interests. Ordinarily I’d let that go and get to my point. But today is different. Today I want to make the point that Mr. Obama is a hypocrite. I will readily agree that Republicans have been advocators of big business, which is owned and/or controlled by millionaires and billionaires. but let’s level the playing field of information. Im not sure what the President’s standard is for declaring some to be a millionaire, or a billionaire, but I’m fairly certain that owning millions or billions would qualify. So let’s take a look at a few of the president’s friends that he defends and protects. Start with Franklin Raines. If he’s not a millionaire it’s only because he might have squandered the loot he plundered from Fannie Mae at the expense of the taxpayers. I don’t see his pal B. Hussein Obama pushing for or prosecution or even investigation of this pal that offered the economic advice that may be at least partly responsible for Mr. Obama’s thick headedness when it comes to large scale economics. Or how about Timothy Geithner, the guy who “forgot” to pay his taxes? Punishment? Forced into hard labor as head of the U.S. Treasury. Hey President Obama, why don’t you offer a tax moratorium to the rest of us?
Follow up:
As for billionaires, one need look no further than George Soros. Here’s the deal on His Majesty Barack and King George’s scam on the U.S. Taxpayer: because of the special circumstances of Obama’s campaign, the Soros family was allowed to make more than the maximum donation of $2,300 to Obama’s Senatorial campaign. $60,000 in direct contributions, not counting the “soft money” funneled through the PACs like Moveon.org. That was just to get Obama elected to the Senate. Now that the big O is President he’s got to find a way to repay the financial backing of the Billionaire Soros. (How rich is he? Soros’ front group MoveOn.org said of the Democrats “Now it’s our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we’re going to take it back.” Soros is so wealthy that he’s the one who signs the paychecks of the merely rich folks!) Anyway now that Soros owns the White house, he sets out to pull off a scam that makes Hilary’s Whitewater deal look like a Chicago back alley three card monte hustle. First, he buys a controlling interest in Brazil’s oil giant Petrobas (this takes place within six months of B.O.’s inauguration). Less than a week later, Obama hands Brazil a check for $2,000,000,000 (that’s two billion) with a commitment for another eight. Ten billion taxpayer dollars given to Brazil who turns around and gives it to George Soros (through Petrobas of course). And the only person to report on this? Glenn Beck, whom the democrats and the media continue to portray as a lunatic. (It’s also found on other blogs, but none of them have the impact potential of Beck’s nationally syndicated TV show.) Every crime show on TV says “follow the money". Follow this circular money trail and now you know who’s pulling the strings in the oval office. Plus it’s one helluva return on his initial investment of only $60,000!
Which brings us to the Democrat’s love of special interest groups. Acorn is an easy one, but since they’ve been thoroughly exposed there’s no need to beat that dead horse. So instead let’s take a look at the enforcers that have been in Obama’s back pocket for as long as he’s been in politics: The unions. I’ll leave Kenneth Gladney’s alleged beating by the SEIU alone because it’s a he-said she-said type of deal. Gladney is a black conservative (there’s more of us than you think, Mr. President) who was selling lapel buttons outside a Town Hall meeting in St. Louis when SEIU thugs allegedly tuned him up. SEIU is denying it ever took place. So let’s move on to the UAW. Think they might qualify as a special interest group Mr. President? Within a few months of being in office, Obama seized control of two of the world’s largest auto manufacturers and handed a massive share of the companies to the UAW (55% of Chrysler and 17.5% of GM). Lest you think that’s the Socialist ideal of employee ownership of the companies, consider this: the union employees won’t get raises in pay or benefits, but the UAW leaders will hit the jackpot.
The bottom line Mr. President is that, as my dear departed mom used to say, when you point a finger at the Republicans as being protectors of the rich and special interests, there are three more fingers pointing right back at yourself. Or in more familiar terms: It’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
So, are you truly that stupid to think you can get away with that kind of crap? Or do you just think we’re so stupid we won’t notice? I guess we’ll know in November.
